Voting for this year’s national election begins next Thursday, May 14, and ends at 5 pm Central time on Friday, June 12, 2009. Per the ENA Bylaws, only active national, international and senior or lifetime ENA members as of May 1, 2009, are eligible to vote in the 2009 election. Affiliate and student members do not have voting privileges.
This year’s decisions will be for: For more information on your candidates, visit the ENA Web site at www.ena.org and click on Meet the Candidates. You may also use the Ask the Candidates feature to ask one or all of the candidates a question between now and the end of the election. Follow the instructions to send your questions via e-mail. Answers will be posted in the same area on a timely basis. On Thursday, May 14, Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS), Inc., the vendor which administers the ENA election, will send voting instructions to all eligible members who have an e-mail address on file with the ENA national office and have not opted out of receiving ENA e-mails. This e-mail will be sent from: "ENA Election Coordinator," enavote@directvote.net. Please add the domain, @directvote.net to your trusted sender, safe list or white list. If you receive your e-mails at work, contact your IT department for assistance. SBS will mail a traditional paper ballot only to eligible members who do not have an e-mail address on file or have opted out of receiving ENA e-mails. Members who receive a paper ballot may still choose to vote online. The online ballot will be accessible directly through SBS or via a hyperlink from the ENA home page. If you do not receive either an electronic or paper ballot by May 22, 2009, or have any questions about the voting process, please contact the Executive Services office immediately at 800/900-9659, ext. 4095 or execoffice@ena.org.
