The Virginia ENA State Council is hosting a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) Review Course and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Review Course in March 2012.
This event is co-provided by Southern Regional AHEC, Fayetteville, NC
This review course is designed for Registered Nurses preparing for the Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse or Certified Emergency Nurse exam.
DESCRIPTION
These courses provide a strong foundation to prepare for and pass the CPEN and CEN exam, which is administered by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing organization. Certification in CPEN and CEN is specific to emergency nursing and measures the attainment of a defined body of nursing knowledge pertinent to that specialty. The CPEN and CEN Review Courses are each a 2-day course designed to provide an extensive review of all facets of emergency nursing care practice. It reviews anatomy, physiology, assessment/diagnostics and pathophysiology of all body systems. In addition to attending the review course, individual study is important for success on the exams.
